Scar Therapy

A scar is for life, but did you know that the function, feeling and even appearance of a scar can be greatly improved with scar therapy?

Scars tell a story. They are often a result of a memorable event in life, that may be traumatic and sometimes come with many emotional and physical factors that impact on you living your best life. I will take the time to really understand what your scar means, what your story is, and how you would like to change that.

Having experienced 2 cesarean section births, Hannah really knows how little support there is available and how lost you can feel with how to care for your scar. It was this experience that spurred her on to develop this practice and learn directly from the country’s leading scar therapist Hannah Poulton at HLP Therapy, Leicester.

Whether your scar is from a c-section, breast surgery, orthopaedic surgery or something else, get in touch to see how we can help.

Pregnancy Physio

Your pregnant body is constantly changing whilst your baby(ies) is growing which can affect your movements.

Sometimes this can lead to aches and pains and difficulty doing everyday tasks.

Following a detailed assessment we will work with you to create a plan that works and supports you through your pregnancy, birth preparation and your fourth trimester.

The Natal Check

The Natal Check is a must whether you have had a vaginal or cesarean birth to assess how your pelvic floor, tummy muscles and body in general are recovering.

A bespoke recovery program will be emailed to you following your assessment to help you reach your lifestyle and activity / sports goals safely.

The Full Natal Check is a 90 minute appointment and can include an external or internal pelvic floor assessment and / or assessment of c-section scar.

Pregnancy Massage

A pregnancy massage can make a real difference to how you feel, physically and mentally, especially if it’s with a practitioner that really takes time to listen to you and tailors your massage accordingly.

We want to give pregnant women window of time just for them to relax, unwind, destress and hopefully help any aches melt away.

MamaBabyBliss Pregnancy Massage trained, this really is a treat for any pregnant woman.

sports injuries

Hannah spent almost 10 years of her career working in a variety of sports from grassroots to professional sport. Teams she worked with include Coventry Rugby, Barbados Rugby Sevens, GB Wheelchair Rugby & GB Boxing which involved working with teams at Glasgow 2014, Rio 2016, Hong Kong Sevens plus numerous European and World Championships.

We are passionate about rehabilitating anyone, from amateur to elite level, back to the sport or activity they love. We know that time out for an injury can be an extremely frustrating time, and we strive to ensure we work together to keep you active whilst advising on a safe return to sport.

Yoga

Hannah’s yoga journey started when she was looking for a new exercise to help her become stronger, what she found was how it not only helped with her physical strength but also emotional strength and balance. She was hooked from her first 1:1 beginners class and although often now struggles to find time for her mat, she loves being able to pass on that little bit of yoga magic to others attending her classes.

We are now offering bespoke 1 to 1 or 1 to 2 classes. These are ideal if you are just starting out on your yoga journey and want to learn the basics, have something specific you would like to work on, or just want some time to work on you.

The focus of our classes is how you feel, tuning in to yourself and coming away from how you look or comparing to others. It’s about finding what works for you.

What’s holding you back from stepping on to a mat and joining us? You don’t need to be flexible, strong, skinny, lycra wearing or any of the other stereotypes, you just need to be ready for creating a better you.
