Where it all started…

Hi, I’m Hannah, founder, owner and clinical lead at Prime Physiotherapy and Wellbeing Services.

I am married to a crazy Portuguese man Luís, am a Mummy to 2 crazy daughters and a crazy cocker spaniel Clyde – life is crazy!! I love the outdoors and being in nature – next time you’re feeling grumpy, take a step outside and look up. No, really, look up, see what your eyes see and tell me you don’t feel better!

I qualified as a physiotherapist in 2004 from Leeds Metropolitan University and spent my early career working in The Queen Elizabeth and Selly Oak Hospitals, Birmingham, then moving on to work at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital for 7 years, gaining extensive experience in orthopaedic surgery, specialist musculoskeletal oncology surgery and spinal surgery in both adults and children. I also completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy at The University of Bath.

I left the NHS in 2014 to persue a dream to work in professional sport and travel the world. I was lucky enough to combine the two! I have worked at some of the most iconic and exciting sporting events in the world; from Hong Kong Sevens and Commonwealth Games, to Rio 2016 Paralympic Games as well as many international tournaments at European and World levels.

Aside from the NHS and Sport, I also have experience of private healthcare and occupational health settings, enabling me to build up an impressive battery of skills and experience.

Alongside running Prime Physiotherapy and Wellbeing Services, I work part-time in Worcestershire Acute Hospitals as a Trauma and Orthopaedics Specialist and Team Lead.

2019 saw me study for my 200 hours yoga teacher status for Vinyasa Yoga and I have since completed training in Birthlight Pregnancy and Post Natal Yoga, and Yin Yoga. I am particularly interested in how yoga can change your mindset, improve your physical and mental wellbeing and give you some much needed time away from the hectic world we surround ourselves with.

I love giving pregnant mums a chance to connect with their baby, keep strong and mobile and learn some vital relaxation and mindfulness alongside labour and birth preparation strategies.

I became a mummy in 2021 and again in 2022 to two beautiful girls. I found a serious lack of support and services both through pregnancy and postnatally, which sparked my enthusiasm to bring some much needed care to us Mums. I can support you through your pregnancy, birth preparation, the early post natal period and beyond.

I am able to offer a full Natal Check for post natal assessment, advice and rehabilitation with a special interest in cesarean section recovery and scar therapy.
